The Moreton-in-Marsh Show

Moretosee… Moretodo… Moretoenjoy

The Moreton-in-Marsh Show was first held in 1949, on the same site it has occupied ever since - part of the Batsford Estate and has been much extended over the years. The traditional one day Agricultural and Horse Show attracts around 20,000 visitors each year.... The local community has been core to the Show since the outset, in fact without the support of people from all walks of life willing to sacrifice their time the show, quite literally, wouldn’t go on... With just 5 paid office staff we boast a fantastic 300 volunteers working towards and on the actual show day and around 150 volunteer judges all giving their skills and time. Run by the Society, throughout the year we have Board members, 28 Council members with 8 committees and others who spend time behind the scenes helping out with the year round events, meetings and preparations at the show office. The thing that unites everyone? The underlying purpose and want to improve the standard of farming and farm crafts locally…... DATE FOR DIARIES: Show Day is Saturday 3rd September 2011
