WHATS ON AT MORETON SHOW 2024
Moreton Show’s 165 acre site in the North Cotswolds boasts a vast array of attractions for all the family, from the Shetland Pony Grand National and The Farmers Bloodhounds to the RPM Bike Trials and Sheep Shearing, you won’t be short of things to see!
Moreton Show strives to entertain and inform even the most experienced of farmers with expert commentary throughout the day. The Grand Arena is where you can find the true showstoppers of the day including but not limited to, the 1.25m finale of the Five Show Showjumping Challenge, The Hayman-Joyce Pony Club Pairs Relay and the Grand Parade of Livestock, showcasing the very best of Cattle, Sheep and Goats with stockmen and women travelling from all over the UK. In the Horse area - Arena Eventing is something not to be missed, with teams of horses competing over x-country and show jumping obstacles in a bid to get home in the best optimum time. As well as this, the farriers can be found battling it out, shaping metal into horseshoes and competing for the ‘Best Shod Horse’ title. Not to mention the Heavy Horses, who when not parading in the Grand Arena, can be found by visitors in the Hooky Horse Area!
Don’t forget to get your front row seats to see the colourful sight of the Shetland Ponies and their mini jockeys go racing round the Grand Arena for the Shetland Pony Grand National at 13.35 and 16.20!! COMPETE WITH THE BEST AT MORETON SHOW 2024
Competitions are held throughout the day for everything from Photographs to Dairy Goat Milking!! Our exhibitors always put so much time and effort into making sure their exhibits are turned out to such a high standard whether it be a 1000 kilogram Hereford Bull or a delicately crafted Handsewn Cushion, so whatever your interest there will be something for you to go and be entertained by.
The Home and Garden marquee is always full to the brim with flowers, handicrafts and homebaking exhibits. If your looking for some summer holiday entertainment for the kids, our childrens classes are always popular and provide excellent craft projects for them to get stuck into!!
ACCESSIBILITY AT MORETON SHOW
Our aim is to ensure that every visitor to Moreton Show has a positive experience at the event. We have taken steps to ensure the showground is more accessible to visitors with additional needs with the addition of a quiet room and a Mobiloo. We are proud to support the Hiddden Disabilities Sunflower Scheme; not every disability is visible, some are hidden. The Sunflower lanyards are a discreet sign to indicate that a person has a hidden disability and may need additional support, help or a little more time. All our Show Officials have been briefed to be mindful of anyone wearing the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower. Sunflower Lanyards are available from the main Show Secretaries tent.
