Potato in a Pot Competition
Do you have young children? Take part in this fun and educational competition:
• Head to the Botanical Garden (next to the Play Barn) at Blue Diamond Fosseway Garden Centre to pay your 50p entry fee, here you will collect your seed potato and pot.
• Take it home, fill the pot with soil, compost or whatever you choose.
• Water and look after it until the day of the show – Saturday 7th September 2024.
• Bring your potato pot to the show and hand it in at the Home & Garden Marquee, still with the potatoes and soil undisturbed.
• During the morning of the show, the stewards empty the pots and weigh the crop of potatoes in front of the crowd – a proud moment as you watch your crop being weighed… Heaviest crop wins!
Entries open whilst stocks of potatoes and pots last!
